Sometimes it is easier to explain one’s feelings and emotions through art.

Through paintings, messages, sketches, short narratives, photos, and videos.

It is a way to tell a story.

Ukrainian youth has a story for you.

Visit our art exhibition “Traces of War” to explore the thoughts, artworks, and other mediums of expression from the inner world of young people in wartime.

Opens Thursday, February 24

Two locations in Toronto:

  • St. Volodymyr Institute (620 Spadina Ave.)

  • Hart House, Talking Walls (7 Hart House Cir)

Working hours:

  • Mon/Fri: 12-19

  • Sat/Sun: 12-17

“Traces of War” is part of the Unissued Diplomas project organized by Kyiv-Mohyla Academy exchange students at UofT with The Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union (SUSK).

Unissued Diplomas is a student-led exhibition held in more than 45 universities worldwide from February 24 through March 11, uncovering the stories of 36 Ukrainian students who lost their lives in war. This project wasn’t possible without the support of the Memorial memory platform that gathers and publishes information about Ukrainian civilian and military war casualties.
