Ukraine Illustrated

SVI and the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Ontario Branch presents a window art exhibition of Ukraine Illustrated posters created as a response to Russia's hybrid war on Ukraine.

This window art display will feature the Kyiv-based illustration collective, Pictoric.

In addition to work from Ukraine, you will also find artworks created by Ukrainian-Canadian artists and allies that are on display at SVI.

Stari Dushi / Novi Mriyi – Old Souls / New Dreams window art installation created by Guelph, Ontario visual artist, Taras Lachowsky. His vibrant artworks are inspired by Vytynanky (traditional Ukrainian paper cut-outs).

ART EXHIBITS AT SVI

SVI has been very fortunate to have exceptionally talented members within our extended community. Through a very dedicated group of volunteers responsible for showcasing, exhibiting and promoting Ukrainian art, our gallery showcases artistry from well-known and emerging artists from around the world. As a result, the Institute is now home to a wonderful collection of over 200 works by artists who have exhibited here. Selected art works are hanging in the public areas of the Institute for everyone to enjoy. New exhibits are opened and promoted to the public 2–4 times per year. We encourage the public and artists alike to visit our events calendar to view upcoming exhibits planned for the coming months. Artists who would like to exhibit at the Institute can contact us.

Arrangements can be made to visit our gallery by appointment Monday – Friday during regular business hours or during any of our primary events where the gallery will be open for viewing.

SVI Art Collection –In celebration of SVI's 60th Anniversary, we present a glimpse into our collection, featuring select pieces. Notable works by internationally acclaimed artists, such as William Kurelek and Jacques Hnizdovsky are on display, alongside Yaroslawa Surmach, Vladimir Strelnikov, selected folk paintings, and more.
