This exhibit focuses on the unique beauty of sorochky from the Borshchiv region. These incredible pieces are made with black sheep’s wool and accented with coloured embroidery threads, beads, and sequins, resulting in a style that is like no other in Ukraine. This exhibit will explore some of the legends, customs, and traditions which are associated with these pieces. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the construction, style, design, and symbolism of Borshchiv sorochky.
