Julia Tkalych shares the secret family recipe her Baba Ludmila taught her, with tips and techniques for bringing out optimal beet flavour in your borshch (beet soup). She’ll also include a meatless alternative that’s ideal for vegetarians.
Julia Tkalych is an Economist and Financial Specialist with a flair for food from previous experience as a sous chef in the restaurant industry.
Julia dedicates this event to her Baba, Ludmila Tkalych, who was born in Bohuslav, Ukraine, passed away in Calgary, and laid to rest in Saskatoon in February 2021, at the age of 96. She was an extraordinary cook and fantastic hostess who loved to prepare beautiful meals for her family and friends.
