presents Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture

This year's Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture will be delivered by Serhy Yekelchyk, Professor of History and Slavic Studies at the University of Victoria. Professor Yekelchyk is the author of seven books on Ukrainian history and Russo-Ukrainian relations including the award-winning Stalin’s Citizens: Everyday Politics in the Wake of Total War. Dr. Yekelchyk is the president of the Canadian Association for Ukrainian Studies.

The Toronto Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture was initiated in 1998 and is co-sponsored by the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, University of Toronto; the Canadian Foundation for Ukrainian Studies; the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Toronto; the Petro Jacyk Program for the Study of Ukraine, University of Toronto; and St. Vladimir Institute (Toronto).
